Stock Your Menu with Group-Dining Friendly Options

There are group activities that can be done in a restaurant like hanging out with your colleagues after work, celebrating with family and friends, or having a business meeting. These activities happen in the restaurant for different reasons. It is easily accessed and can accommodate a large group of people. You do not have to spend an entire day in the kitchen and clean up afterwards.

Here are three things you should have in place to encourage people:

Have a wide selection of wines they can purchase for the table

Have drinks that are meant to be shared. You can have a pitcher of margarita, sangria, or tepache. These cocktails are a popular choice for a late-night meet-up after a long week at work or a late brunch when catching up with friends. You can pair up with local breweries, if there are any in your area, to create a blend that cannot be experienced anywhere else. If you do not have access to fresh fruit for your sangria or tepache, you can work with fruit juice suppliers, so you do not miss out on any cocktail fun. For semi-formal get-togethers and celebrations, having a selection of reds and whites for them to purchase as a bottle is another way to cater to their drink needs. It keeps the fun classy and tamed.

Have meals that are good for four to six people

Selling your dishes per plate does not mean you miss out on accommodating large groups. When people pay for themselves, they want to eat what they like, and individual plates give them the room to follow their diets. However, it is also beneficial to have a platter option for people with the same taste, or if the company pays for the meal. If you are not ready to commit to a whole course for group dining, focus on the appetizers and entrees.

Have promotions that encourage groups to visit.

After you have the food and drinks that are good for many, take extra steps to encourage people to visit. It could be something as basic as having the space for them with large tables and booths to something unique to your company like seasonal promotions. You can have live music performances to create an event that people want to visit for fun. You can create set meals at a discount or throw in a free dessert for customers who come during slow hours. You can get creative. Repeat your promotions around similar times to make sure that people know that it is something they can look forward to in the future.

You can also adjust your opening and closing hours to accommodate the crowd. When you follow these three steps, you are telling the people that your restaurant is the place to be when you want to socialise because it has all the elements needed to have a good time. All the benefits of a dinner party without the work and effort.
